New Zealand OVERVIEW
There's no accounting for tastes, they say, but, we beg your pardon, this
is
one of the most stunning places on Earth.
Lord of the Rings
may not be your cup of tea, but the fact it was shot down here is good enough a reason for us to think New Zealand can be an apple of your eye. On the other hand, we're a bit in two minds about whether to encourage hordes of inconsiderate visitors to further plunder the country's riches, but we figure seeing it is believing that miracles do happen. Remember it's a divine treat handed to you on a silver platter- consume it with due respect or the whole world with have to pay through the nose for it.
Gaze in awe at the grandiose mountain highs of Tongariro National Park, cool your strained eyes with Franz Josef and Fox glaciers, stretch your legs in bustling Auckland harbors, quench your thirst in Hawkes Bay Wine Region, and get access to Cook Strait through Wellington to see where the South Pacific and Tasman Sea meet half way. Then surf the swells of chilled out Raglan, watch dolphins frolicking in Kaikoroua, and savor the indigenous flavor of Rotorua, a geothermal wonderland and the heartland of Maori culture.
New Zealand's unlimited range of attractions will give you a hard time choosing what's on your agenda and what needs to be given up on out of time shortage. For it's impossible to sample the whole menu at just one seating. If you've already tried some of it, there's a good reason for a second helping coming. World cup rugby touches down in New Zealand in September 2011 so it's high time you found out where you need to be and what it takes to score the best seats in the house. If you're a fresher, place yourself comfortably at the New Zealand table and eat until you blow up. It's one of those see-and-die places that we all hope the paradise looks like.
