Mozambique OVERVIEW
After turbulent centuries of invasions, Arabic hegemony and Portuguese colonial rule followed by years of blood-stained guerilla civil war, Mozambique has cherished its independence and peace for some time now. And although its body is ravaged by famine and malaria, making the country rank high in infant mortality and short life expectancy, the nation and its beauty-studded land are often quoted as Africa's rising stars. The grounds are solid.
First there is the country's intriguing historical and cultural heritage definitely counting as one of the biggest lures.
